Helane Blumfield is a creative visionary who has successfully navigated both agency and retail worlds in varied roles,
including creative director, art director, photographer, brand specialist and collaborator.
Her complete body of work encompasses numerous award-winning campaigns, which have revolutionized the shopping experience and moved consumers to form unbreakable bonds to brands. Blending insight, strategy, messaging and design,
she brings to life cohesive, 360° stories that leverage all touchpoints from print, video and television to digital, web and
social media. A creative pioneer, Helane is at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies, always embracing new ways
to take digital to the next level.
Most recently, she was the brand architect for Macy’s, having served as SVP
Creative Omni Channel, Brand, Agency, Broadcast, Social, Macy’s Merchandising
Group. A strategic leader, she rallied a team of forward thinkers who collectively
had their radars on the pulse point of today’s consumer groups. Translating vision
into communications, the team reached targets with a decisive accuracy that brought
the retailer’s unique and iconic magic to the great American shopping experience.
She has inspired creative teams in various capacities including Operating VP and Creative Director of Bloomingdale’s, and Partner/VP Creative of SFI Creative Group,
a boutique branding agency with an annual billing of $12 million.
She embarked on her creative adventures as a student of the Fashion Institute
of Technology and later tapped her inner entrepreneur to bring to fruition a
knitting café, The Point, situated in the heart of Greenwich Village, New York City.
Helane has also realized her dream of becoming a vocalist and currently indulges her passion for singing on the
stages of New York City cabaret. Born and bred in New York, she loves the life she lives and shares with her
family in Brooklyn Heights and Shelter Island, New York.
